Dr. Hand uses information obtained from a comprehensive consultation and examination, and sometimes x-rays, to determine areas of injury or improper function. He uses specific adjustments to restore normal joint motion and position and stimulate healing. He also uses physical therapy, rehabilitative exercises, massage, and nutrition to speed healing and prevent re-injury.

Dr. Hand performs thousands of adjustments each year. Chiropractic adjustments are SAFE and effective. They are typically comfortable for patients to receive. The chiropractic adjustment, when performed by a skilled practitioner, is safer than most medications, including aspirin and ibuprofen, and can have much greater beneficial effects. Dr. Hand is experienced in many types of adjustment. Based on his evaluation of each patient, he chooses the type of adjustment which is most likely to work the best for that person.

The traditional type of adjustment involves the use of a carefully directed manual pressure on a dysfunctional joint pushing that joint through its normal range of motion to restore healthy position and mobility. During that type of adjustment, the patient often feels the joint release followed by an immediate reduction in pain and muscle tension. That’s right, the patient often feels better immediately.

Other types of adjustments that Dr. Hand may use include: Flexion/Distraction, Drop-Table Technique, and Activator Method. Chiropractic Adjustments help to:
