Who is Dr. Barry G. Hand, B.S., D.C.?

Dr. Hand is a highly skilled chiropractic doctor who performs thousands of adjustments each year. He and his wife, Kristen, have been blessed with three children and greatly enjoy all that Colorado has to offer. Kristen’s many talents as our Office Manager ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for our patients.

Dr. Hand was born in Colorado Springs and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Colorado State University in 1989. He graduated Summa Cum Laude, as the class Valedictorian, from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in Spring of 1995. Dr. Hand has also completed post-doctoral studies in the treatment of automobile injuries, neurology and orthopedics, radiology, nutrition, and exercise rehabilitation. Beyond the nine years of undergraduate and graduate study that is required to become a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Hand continually fine tunes and improves his clinical skills by attending seminars and studying research journals.

Hand Chiropractic, Inc. is a family practice where Dr. Hand treats people of all ages with a great variety of ailments/injuries while promoting overall wellness through holistic treatments and preventative care. Dr. Hand has been serving Fort Collins and the surrounding areas since opening his practice in this location in 1995. Dr. Hand is experienced in the treatment of people with such conditions and injuries related to the neck and back, headaches, arm and leg trauma, disc injury, pinched nerves, auto, work and sports injuries and much more. He only uses scientifically proven treatment methods to help his patients enjoy a pain-free high quality of life.

Dr. Hand enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his children’s soccer teams, cycling, skiing, and hiking. He has been involved in many community events such as fund raising for local schools, the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the American Diabetes Association. In order to better serve the people of northern Colorado, Dr. Hand offers reasonable rates for his services and is contracted with many different insurance companies including Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Great West, United Healthcare, Humana and others. He is always happy to answer questions about himself, chiropractic care, or your health.
